TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

The Broker - What It Is

TabTrade launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something this new, the breadth is solid.

What You Trade On

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after using both.

FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it lands.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
