Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
His background tells you something. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the part that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
